They were in, then they were out, then they were in then they were out and now they are back in.

Orient have re-entered the Football Combination for the 2005/06 season following unanimous acceptance of their entry application at the Football Combination AGM. They will compete in the Eastern Division which includes Southend, Luton and Colchester, and will play a total of 16 competitive matches under the control of Dean Smith who stated, "I'm pleased we're going to be playing competitive football next season and we're glad to have been voted back in."

Putting right what many have considered a poor friendly only fixture list for the reserves that acted detrimentally to the club, Smith further said, "We decided it would be of benefit to our youngsters and those not in the first team at the time to play in the league..........and it will provide decent matches on a regular basis for the squad."
