Defender Aaron Brown has signed a two-year deal with Aldershot after rejoining the club on a free transfer. The 27-year-old centre-back made 14 appearances under former Shots boss Kevin Dillon but turned down a new deal to join Leyton Orient last summer.

Brown only made nine appearances for the League One side, being loaned out to Stockport County in January.

Brown told the club website: "I kept in contact with many of the players and there was no hesitation for me."

He added: "I am looking looking forward to working with Shots boss Dean Holdsworth and know that he wants to move the club on too."

Holdsworth commented: "He was eager to join, which is what we want. He can see what we are trying to achieve.

"He has great attributes, good stature and will be effective in both boxes."
