Newcastle should have been playing in Holland against FC Utrecht but permission was withdrawn by the FA as the Mackems had got to Holland first. Orient should have been playing at Luton that day but have now cancelled this fixture and the Open Day scheduled for the 26 July has been postponed.
Tickets are £15 adults, £10 concessions and are available for home fans now. Tickets for Newcastle fans (who have been allocated the East Stand), will be available from Thursday 16th at St James's Park.
Orient last hosted Newcastle in September 2001 for a 2nd leg League Cup match which ended in a 1-1 draw.
