The striker spent a month at Sixfields, making four appearances without scoring a goal.
Cobblers manager Ian Sampson thanked Jarvis for his time.

Jarvis played in Northampton's FA Cup second round defeat to Sheffield Wednesday so is unavailable for Saturday's trip to Norwich.
