Leyton Orient V Oldham at Matchroom Stadium - Match Preview

Duo out for Latics

Oldham remain without Matt Smith and Lee Barnard for their trip to Leyton Orient.

The forward pair both picked up injuries in the win against Crawley last weekend that secured the Latics' npower League One status for another season.

Smith was forced off with an Achilles problem while Barnard suffered a hip injury and neither will recover in time for the final game of the campaign.

In the duo's absence, Lee Johnson's side fired a blank against Shrewsbury in midweek and also lost midfielder Jonathan Grounds to a neck complaint.

Grounds is rated 50-50 as Oldham look to end their campaign with a fourth win in five games.

Orient are hoping Charlie MacDonald will be fit.

MacDonald missed last weekend's 1-0 win at Coventry with a knee injury but was due to have an injection this week in a bid to be fit for the final game of the season.

Fellow striker David Mooney is set to miss out again with an ankle injury while boss Russell Slade is also short in defence with Scott Cuthbert (metatarsal), Mathieu Baudry (hip) and Elliot Omozusi (shoulder) still sidelined.

Slade could only name four substitutes at Coventry and they included 18-year-olds De'Reece Vanderhyde and Harry Lee.

Defender Vanderhyde and midfielder Lee this week signed their first professional contracts at the club and could make their first-team debuts.
