Leyton Orient V Preston at Matchroom Stadium - Match Preview

Clarke doubt for Slade's men

Nathan Clarke is the only injury doubt for Leyton Orient, who are aiming for their fourth consecutive npower League One victory when they travel to Preston.

The defender, 28, was forced out of the midweek victory over Portsmouth with an ankle injury and faces a late test to prove his fitness.

Should he miss out Scott Cuthbert or Mathieu Baudry are poised to deputise.

Striker David Mooney will retain his place in the Orient attack after notching three goals in the past week.

He is likely to partner Kevin Lisbie, who himself is in form after producing a brace in the 3-2 win at Pompey.

Boss Russell Slade is still without goalkeeper Lee Butcher, who remains sidelined with a knee injury.

Preston are facing a full-back crisis ahead of the trip.

Left-back Scott Laird suffered a broken leg during Tuesday night's goalless draw with Notts County, after a late challenge by Jamal Campbell-Ryce that manager Graham Westley described as "disgusting".

Right-back Keith Keane was also taken off during the same game with a knee strain. His injury is still being assessed, but the club expect him to be sidelined for a considerable amount of time.

Centre-back Bailey Wright may be asked to move over to the right, while David Buchanan is expected to deputise at left-back.

Captain John Mousinho is available for selection after overcoming the mumps, while defender Shane Cansdell-Sheriff is fit again after missing the last four games.

Forward Lee Trundle is also pushing for a place in the squad after returning from a long-term knee problem.
