Ling Admits Defeat

Following Saturday's poor showing against Kidderminster Ling has stated, "Play offs are not now happening and it's a case of fighting to stay in the top half of the table."

Re building for next season would now seem to be the priority, with Ling admitting on BBC London on Friday night that the age balance of the team was too heavily weighted in favour of youth and that he was seeking a small number of more experienced players to assist the younger ones. Initial emhasis would seem to be on finding an effective partner to compete with Jabo Ibehere to play alongside top goalscorer Gary Alexander. This would seem to indicate an uncertain future for striker Chris Tate.

Whilst there is no money for transfer fees Ling stated that there were experienced players he was looking at via a "Bosman," and money was available to pay attractive salaries above the third division average, in line with Orients wage policy.
