Lockwood Departs

Matt Lockwood is leaving E10 to join Forest for an undisclosed fee. Lockwood, who only last month signed a new two year contract with the O's, found the lure of joining one of the promotion favourites too difficult to turn down despite being on the brink of breaking the Orient's appearances record and qualifying for a testimonial at the end of this season when he would have completed 10 seasons service.

He has been an excellent professional throughout his time at the O's, making the League One team of the season in 2006/07, and he is an undoubted loss but can only go with good wishes and good luck for his career at the City Ground (apart from when he plays against us of course!!)

Matt made 319 (+50) league appearances for Leyton Orient since signing in August 1998.
