The non-league side took the lead in the 35th minute with a long-range effort.

Trialist goalkeeper Matt Baker played the full 90 minutes, and the former Hull City player impressed. The 22-year-old is currently on trial from Hereford, and made two one-on-one saves in the match.

Assistant manager Martin Ling was disappointed with the team's performance, and is looking for an improvement: "It was obvious that that was our first match back and we were playing against a team that wanted to get one over us.
"We didn't handle it well, the grass was very long, and although we got better as the game went on we didn't get out of first gear.
"Obviously you look to improve as you go on and that was our first game so there's no problem. Matt Baker made two good saves in the first half and didn't do anything wrong."

First half line-up: Baker; Barnard, Wild, Harris, Lockwood; Hatcher, Toner, Hutchings, Forbes; Nugent, McLean.
Second half line-up: Baker; Joseph, Stephens, McGhee, Jones; Barnard (Wild), Canham, Martin, Brazier; Watts, Hatcher (Nugent).
