Boss Russell Slade guided the O`s to an unbeaten month, winning three and drawing three of their six games, aside from their memorable FA Cup fifth-round draw at home to Arsenal.
He will now compete with Southampton boss Nigel Adkins, Peterborough's Darren Ferguson and Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury for the accolade.
Midfielder Jimmy Smith has also been shortlisted for the player of the month gong following his impressive performances which have also seen him contribute with four goals.
He will go up against Rickie Lambert (Southampton), Craig Mackail-Smith (Peterborough) and Glenn Murray (Brighton).
Both winners will be announced on Friday.
