Spence is a current England U19 international and a regular in the WHU reserve team but has yet to make his Premier League debut although he has been an unused sub on three occasions this season.
Manager Ling is quoted on the club's official website stating, "He has come here to strengthen our centre half position with Brian Saah out with his hamstring injury and the worry over Alton's (Thelwell) knee with so many games coming up."
Spence will wear the number 28 shirt.
