Third Summer Signing

Last updated : 25 June 2005 By Martin Scott
Winger Joe Keith has signed from Colchester United after passing a medical on Friday. Opting to sign for the O's rather than League One club Bournemouth, 26 year old Keith had played more than 200 games for the U's.

Martin Ling identified Keith as a perfect replacement for Andy Scott, stating, "I've got Joe down as our left sided winger for next season and I'm glad he's chosen to sign for us."

That leaves three more players to come in before the start of the season at home to Macclesfield. The fixture is a repeat of last years opening game which proved to be a disastrous defeat for the O's who failed to cope with the lumbering skills of ten foot tall Jon Parkin. Let's hope that John Mackie has spent the close season with his feet in a gro bag!!
