World Cup Beat The Manager

By Footymad
Sunday, 6th June 2010
Show everyone who's the boss as Footymad's prediction game 'Beat the Manager' goes World Cup mad.

beat-the-manager-world-cupThe domestic season may be over, but Footymad's score prediction game is back for the summer extravaganza that is the World Cup.

Spain are likely to start as slight favourites, and they will be hoping Fernando Torres will be fit enough to play a pivotal role as they attempt to claim the World Cup/Euro double.

There are however several other sides which will fancy their chances as the tournament heads to Africa for the first time.  Brazil are always a threat, while Argentina will be looking to the brilliant Lionel Messi to weave his magic.

The Netherlands have a decent team, but often flatter to deceive, while holders Italy, seemingly friendless at around 16-1, cannot be dismissed after coming through last time despite their domestic betting scandals.

As you know, the world's greatest sporting event kicks off this Friday, and you can pit your wits against fellow Footymad users across the country and indeed the world by trying to predict as accurately as possible each of the 64 games in the tournament, beginning with South Africa's clash against Mexico.

Normal scoring rules apply, with points for the correct score, correct result, draws and team scores, but not forgetting that deductions will be applied to three or more consecutive identical scores.

You can use your normal Footymad login details to play right away.  New registrations are also welcome.  Access Beat The Manager by clicking the link in the left-hand menu, or simply by clicking here

Enjoy the tournament, and best of luck!
