Leo Fortune-West grabbed a hat trick in the first 18 minutes to put Doncaster on the path to their biggest win of the season.

Fortune-West tapped home simple goals in the sixth and 14th minutes but his third was a magnificent header which beat the keeper all ends up.

Rovers were on fire at the start and bounced back in emphatic style after two successive away defeats.

They snatched the lead in the sixth minute when Michael McIndoe crossed from the left and Paul Green's shot was blocked. It rebounded to Fortune-West who slotted home from close range.

Doncaster should have gone 2-0 in front five minutes later when McIndoe raced through and elected to shoot when John Melligan was better placed to score.

But they did not have long to wait before increasing their advantage with Fortune-West on the mark again following a splendid move involving McIndoe, Green and Gregg Blundell.

Fortune-West completed his hat-trick in the 18th minute when he latched onto a splendid cross from Melligan at the far post and powered a glancing header into the net.

Play inevitably quietened down after the frantic opening with Orient battling hard to get back into the match.

They looked rattled for a spell but fought all the way despite being totally outclassed by the home side who were recording their ninth successive home victory.

The closest the visitors came to scoring happened in the 54th minute when substitute Jabo Ibehre raced through and tried to chip Andy Warrington but the Rovers keeper flung himself backwards to tip the ball over the bar.

There was no stopping Rovers and Blundell made it 4-0 in the 56th minute from a tight angle at the near post before substitute Peter Hynes completed the route after Blundell had set up the chance ten minutes from time.
