Kidderminster twice had to come from behind against ten-man Leyton Orient to record their second consecutive victory and end the three-game winning run of their visitors.

Orient looked lively in the opening stages with Jabo Ibehre in particular causing problems for the home defence, but it was Kidderminster themselves who came closest to opening the scoring after 12 minutes when some tenacious tackling by Sean Flynn won possession and set up Sam Shilton, who saw his chip drift just wide of the far post.

The visitors opened the scoring six minutes later, slack defending by Harriers allowed Ibehre to receive the ball in the penalty area with his back to goal, but using his strength he was able to turn past Kenny Coleman and slot a low shot just inside Stuart BrockÂ’s left-hand post.

Further goalscoring chances were few for the remainder of the half until a long clearance by Brock seven minutes before the interval caught the Orient defence out and Dean Bennett got his head to it first before the onrushing Scott Barrett and direct it into the net.

On the stroke of half time the game exploded into life when and dreadful late challenge by Chris Tate left Bennett in a heap on the touchline and was rewarded with a red card, although referee Walton mistakenly showed the yellow one first.

After the break Harriers improved their performance and began to take control of the game, although without really threatening Barrett in the visiting goal.

Then, against the run of play, Orient regained the lead. A deep free-kick from the right was floated towards the far post where Ibehre was left unmarked and stooped to head in his second of the game.

Harriers continued to press and switched to a three-man attack which eventually paid dividends after 77 minutes.

Shilton broke into the penalty area and set up JJ Melligan, the IrishmanÂ’s shot was parried by Barrett, but Shilton reacted first to poke in the loose ball.

Six minutes later Bo Henriksen won the game for Harriers with a delightful chip that left Barrett stranded in no-manÂ’s land and dropped just under the bar.
