Leyton Orient 1-0 Rotherham- Match Report

Lisbie wins it for Orient

Kevin Lisbie struck the only goal of a scrappy affair to give Leyton Orient a 1-0 win against Rotherham that maintains their position as league leaders in League One.

Leading striker Lisbie took is tally to 12 for the season when he pounced after 27 minutes to give the home side a deserved lead.

Midfielder Dean Cox had two attempts at trying to force the pass from Moses Odubajo over the line but on each occasion was denied keeper Adam Collin who twice parried the ball. Lisbie was on hand to pounce on the loose ball and power it home from close range.

The Millers improved after the break although they were seldom able to test home keeper Jamie Jones and it was his opposite number Collin that was forced to make three outstanding saves late on.

The former Carlisle keeper denied Odubajo, Gary Sawyer and Cox to keep his side in with a chance but the O's hung on to deliver the perfect response following their first league defeat of the season in midweek.
