Leyton Orient 1-3 Cambridge Utd- Match Report

Ben Williamson brace inspires Cambridge to victory over Leyton OrientBen Williamson scored twice and Jimmy Spencer added a third as Cambridge collected a 3-1 away win in their League Two clash with Leyton Orient, who netted through Armand Gnanduillet.Orient were left counting the cost of woeful defending when the visitors were given a gift goal with just 10 minutes on the clock when Orient full-back Frazer Shaw mishit an intended back pass that allowed Williamson to run onto the ball, glide past O's keeper Alex Cisak and place the ball into the net.The home side's attempts to get back into the game were snuffed out by a resilient U's back line in a turgid opening half where chances were few and far between for either side.United doubled their lead after 52 minutes when Williamson shrugged off a tame challenge from defender Connor Essam before drilling the ball into the net at the near post from 15 yards. The hosts pulled a goal back after 57 minutes when substitute Gnanduillet netted within three minutes of joining the action after the U's failed to clear a corner but the visitors restored their two-goal cushion after 64 minutes and Essam was again found wanting.Williamson broke down the right and hustled off a challenge by Essam before squaring the ball for Spencer to score on his debut after signing from Notts County
